Why use week overview Open week overview How the week view works What to look for Make changes from week view Plan ahead Important to know Best practice What next

The week overview shows your full schedule across the week.

It helps you step back from daily changes and see the bigger picture.

Why use week overview

Day view is for quick fixes.

Week view is for planning ahead.

Use it to:

  • Spot gaps before they happen
  • Balance workload across the week
  • Check coverage for key days
  • Prepare for the upcoming demand

Open week overview

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Schedule
  2. Switch to Week view

You will now see the full week at once.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

How the week view works

The layout is similar to the day view, but expanded.

  • Employees are listed down the left
  • Days are shown across the screen
  • Skills appear as coloured blocks

This gives you a full picture of who is working and when.

What to look for

Use week view to scan for issues.

Focus on:

  • Understaffed periods
  • Overstaffing
  • Uneven shift distribution
  • Repeated gaps across days

You can catch problems early instead of reacting on the day.

Make changes from week view

You can still make updates directly.

  • Adjust shifts
  • Move work between days
  • Apply quick fixes

Use the same paint style interaction.

Plan ahead

Week view is best used before the week starts.

Check:

  • Are peak days covered
  • Are key skills balanced
  • Do you need extra support

Fix issues now to avoid pressure later.

Important to know

  • Changes here apply to the live schedule
  • It does not update the shift template
  • You can still override settings if needed

Best practice

  • Review the full week regularly
  • Plan before the week starts
  • Use it to spot patterns
  • Keep adjustments small and targeted
