Statistics help you understand how your planning performs over time. Where the schedule shows what is happening now, statistics show patterns across days, weeks, and months. This is where you improve future planning.

What are statistics

The statistics page lets you analyse:

  • Scheduled hours
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Schedule adherence

It helps you move from reacting to planning.

Why use statistics

Use statistics to:

  • Spot long-term trends
  • Improve staffing templates
  • Check forecast accuracy
  • Review employee adherence

This is not for fixing today. It is for improving what comes next.

Open statistics

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Statistics
  2. Choose a tab
  3. Set your filters
  4. Click Generate
  5. Your report will be built.
  6. Large datasets are processed in the background.
  7. When ready, you can download the results.

Statistics tabs

There are three tabs.

Schedule

This shows how many hours are scheduled over time.

You can break this down by:

  • Skill
  • Employee

Filters

  • Period
Date range. Default is current week
  • Interval
    Day, week, or month
  • Employees
    Select specific employees
  • Skills
    Select skills or skill groups

What you will see

  • Scheduled time per skill over time
  • Scheduled time per employee
  • Total hours per skill
  • Total hours per employee

Why it matters

Use this to:

  • Check how work is distributed
  • Spot over or under use of skills
  • Balance workload across your team

Forecast

This compares predicted demand with actual demand.

Only available if forecasting is enabled.

Filters

  • Period
    Maximum 100 days
  • Skills
    Select relevant skills

What you will see

  • Forecast vs actual volume
  • Derived staffing requirement

Why it matters

Use this to:

  • Check forecast accuracy
  • Improve staffing templates
  • Adjust planning assumptions

Adherence

This shows how closely employees follow the schedule.

Only available if adherence is enabled by Cirrus.

Filters

  • Period
Default is from start of last month to yesterday
  • Interval
    Day, week, or month
  • Employees
    Select employees

What you will see

  • Adherence percentage over time
  • Call data used for calculation
  • Average adherence per employee
  • Schedule deviations

Why it matters

Use this to:

  • Understand behaviour trends
  • Support performance conversations
  • Improve schedule compliance

Working with filters

All tabs use the same structure:

  1. Set filters
  2. Click Generate
  3. Review graphs and tables

Start broad.

Use weekly or monthly views first.

Then zoom into daily detail if needed.

Download your data

After generating a report a ‘Download’ button appears

This gives you raw data for:

  • Excel
  • Reports
  • BI tools

Important to know

  • Statistics use published shift templates only
  • Unpublished changes are not included
  • If no data appears, check your template is published

Error example:

“No active shift template for the selected date”

This means no published template exists for that period.

Common mistakes

  1. Using statistics for real time decisions. Use the schedule for that.
  2. Looking at too much detail too soon. Start broad, then zoom in.
  3. Forgetting to publish templates. Your data will be incomplete.

Best practice

  • Review statistics regularly
  • Start with weekly or monthly trends
  • Use insights to improve templates
  • Combine schedule, forecast, and adherence data
