September 2026 Release Noes
This release brings several updates to Cirrus Digital, including improvements to WhatsApp, Flow Builder and Automation. We have also highlighted an important change to Settings that administrators should be aware of.
New Features
⚠️Important administrator update: New Settings experience⚠️
The Settings page has been completely reworked.

Administrators familiar with the previous Settings page should expect navigation to look different after the release. Existing functionality has not changed, but settings are being moved away from the sidebar and into the main Settings area.
Modules are also being grouped into clearer sections, with descriptions and links designed to make individual settings easier to find.
Additional modules will move to this new experience over the coming months.
What this means for administrators
Allow a little extra time when first using Settings after the release. Options may not be where you are used to finding them, even though the underlying functionality remains the same.
Username Contact for WhatsApp

Cirrus Digital will support WhatsApp usernames as Meta rolls out its username functionality.
When available, the WhatsApp username received through the webhook will appear in the Customer Info card. If a customer changes their username, Cirrus Digital will update the stored value when the next inbound message is received.
This feature will become available when Meta activates its Business Scoped User ID policy. No action is required from administrators at this time.
Automatic Contact Request for WhatsApp

Businesses can request a customer's phone number directly within an active WhatsApp conversation.
Administrators can add Request Contact Info to approved utility and marketing templates. Agents can then send the request as an interactive message during the conversation.
When the customer shares their number, Cirrus Digital automatically links it to the contact and confirms the update in the conversation.
This helps businesses identify and manage WhatsApp users who use Business Scoped User IDs instead of phone numbers, reducing the need for agents to request contact details manually.
Enhancements
WhatsApp Typing Indicator

Customers chatting with AI Agents and AI Chatbots through WhatsApp can now see WhatsApp's familiar typing indicator while Cirrus Digital prepares a response.
The indicator appears when processing starts and disappears when the AI responds. If processing takes longer than 25 seconds, WhatsApp automatically stops showing the indicator.
This gives customers immediate feedback that their message is being processed and makes AI conversations feel more natural.
CC and Bcc in Create Item

The Create Item step in Flow Builder now supports emails sent to multiple external recipients.
Flows can also include additional recipients using CC and Bcc.
This gives administrators more control over who receives or is copied into emails generated automatically by a flow.
Displayed Automation ID

Automation IDs are now easier to find.
When you hover over an automation, use the three dot menu to find and copy its Automation ID directly from the Automation interface.
Automation IDs are commonly needed for APIs, integrations and configuration. This change removes the need to use developer tools to find them.
