This is where you control how Cirrus Calm works behind the scenes.

You manage:

  • Location setup
  • Break rules
  • Holidays
  • User accounts
  • Support access

These settings shape how your schedule behaves.

Open settings

Click the gear icon in the top right. You will see three options:

  • Settings
  • Account management
  • Servicedesk

Settings

The Settings page controls your scheduling setup.

Location settings

This defines your operating window.

You will see:

  • Location name
  • Active days
  • Time range

Example:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 07:00 to 19:00

This controls when scheduling can happen.

An admin cannot edit these options but will be configured by Cirrus.

Breaks

This is where you manage all break rules.

You can:

  • Add breaks
  • Edit existing breaks
  • Delete breaks

Each break includes:

  • Time
  • Linked skill

Breaks are used when generating schedules automatically.

Holidays

This controls how public holidays appear in your schedule.

You will see a list of holidays such as:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Christmas
  • Bank holidays

Holiday handling options

Each holiday has three options:

  1. Hide

The holiday is not shwon in the schedule.

  1.  Show

The holiday appears in the schedule. The schedule remains unchanged

  1. Show and empty schedule

The holiday is shown. The schedule is automatically cleared for that day

Account management

This is where you manage user accounts.

You can see:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Active status
  • Assigned roles
  • Assigned locations

You can also filter to show active users only.

Deactivate a user

Users cannot be deleted because their data is needed for reporting.

Instead, you deactivate them.

How to deactivate a user

  1. Go to Employees
  2. Open the employee profile
  3. Click ‘Deactivate account’
  4. Click Save

After this date:

  • The employee is no longer scheduled
  • They are removed from selection lists
  • Their history is kept
  • An Inactive label will appear.

Reactivate a user

To reactivate:

  1. Uncheck the tick box ‘Show active employees only’
  2. Select the employee
  3. Click ‘Send invitation to activate account’

Need to delete a user

Full deletion is not standard.

👉 Contact the Cirrus Support team.

Servicedesk

The Servicedesk gives you direct access to our help centre.

Use it for:

  • Technical issues
  • Questions

Important to know

  • Settings affect how scheduling works
  • Breaks and holidays impact automation
  • Deactivated users still exist in reports
  • Support is accessed through the Servicedesk

Common mistakes

  1. Ignoring location settings. Leads to incorrect scheduling windows.
  2. Not configuring breaks properly. Results in poor automatic schedules.
  3. Trying to delete users. Use deactivation instead.

Best practice

  • Set location settings correctly from the start
  • Keep breaks simple and accurate
  • Review holidays yearly
  • Deactivate users instead of deleting
  • Use Servicedesk for support quickly
