Shift mutations track every change made to the schedule. They show what changed, who it affects, and when it happened.

What are shift mutations

A shift mutation is any change to the schedule.

This includes:

  • Shift updates
  • Skill changes
  • Time changes
  • Reassigned work

Each change is logged as a mutation.

Why shift mutations matter

Changes happen all the time.

Shift mutations help you:

  • Track what has changed
  • See who is affected
  • Confirm if changes were communicated
  • Keep control of your schedule

What you will see

Each mutation shows:

  • Employee
  • Date and time
  • Type of change
  • Status

This gives a clear history of what happened.

Track notifications

You can see if a change has been communicated.

  • A timestamp shows when the employee was notified
  • If blank, the change has not been sent

This helps you avoid missed communication.

Filter mutations

Use filters to focus on what matters.

You can filter by:

  • Date range
  • Employee
  • Status

This is useful when reviewing specific changes.

Review a mutation

Select a mutation to see more detail.

You can:

  • View what changed
  • Confirm who is affected
  • Check when it was updated

Delete a mutation

Admins can remove mutation records if needed.

Important:

  • This only removes the record
  • It does not undo the schedule change
  • Use this carefully.

Important to know

  • Every schedule change creates a mutation
  • Mutations are not sent automatically
  • Notifications must be triggered manually

Best practice

  • Review mutations before sending notifications
  • Use them to track daily changes
  • Keep communication controlled and clear
  • Use filters to stay focused
