September 2026 Release Notes
Table of Contents
This release brings continuous scheduling, more accurate reporting, smarter automatic scheduling, and improvements that make everyday planning easier.
You have more control over how far ahead you build and publish your schedule. Reporting figures now agree across more screens, and automatic scheduling takes planned leave and sickness into account when assigning hours.
Improvements
Continuous scheduling
You can now build and extend your schedule directly, without repeatedly generating it from a base template.
Previously, scheduling involved creating a base template, generating the schedule and publishing it. Continuous scheduling lets you work in the schedule itself and extend it whenever you need to plan further ahead.
The feature is enabled by Cirrus for each location. Your location must already have a schedule before it can be enabled. Once enabled, Shift templates disappear from the menu.
To extend your schedule:
- Open the schedule menu using the three dots.
- Select Automatically fill.
- Choose the period, employees and skills you want to include.
- Select Fill to see the proposed shifts.
- Review the proposals, then select Apply to add them to the schedule.
- Select Save to save your changes.
Days that already have shifts are not proposed again.
Creating and publishing the schedule remain separate actions. Use Published until to control how far ahead employees can see their shifts. Dates beyond that point display a message confirming that employees cannot see them yet.
This gives you time to build and review future schedules before making them visible to employees.
Copy tasks between employees or time slots
You can now copy a planned task to another employee or time slot.
The copy option sits alongside Swap task and works in a similar way. Copying lets you reuse an existing task while keeping the original in place.
This is useful when another employee needs the same task, or when you want to add the task at a different time without moving the original assignment.
The separate Swap shift option has been removed. Swap task continues to work as before.
Leave and sickness count towards contract hours
Automatic scheduling now takes planned leave and sickness into account when calculating an employee’s remaining contract hours for the week.
Previously, an employee with planned absence could still be assigned their full contract hours across the remaining days. This could result in more hours being allocated than intended.
Planned leave and sickness are now deducted from the weekly contract hours before the remaining hours are scheduled.
This helps reduce unintended overtime and gives you a schedule that better reflects the employee’s planned working time for that week.
Full task names in the schedule
Long task names are now shown in full when you change a shift’s task through the right click menu.
Previously, names could be cut off. This made it difficult to distinguish between tasks that started with the same wording but had different endings.
You can now see the complete name before making your selection, making it easier to choose the correct task. Short task names continue to appear as before.
Clearer schedule colours
Task blocks in the schedule grid now use stronger colours and contrast.
This makes task labels easier to read at normal zoom and helps you see assignments more clearly when reviewing the schedule.
The improvement is particularly useful when scanning a busy schedule containing several different tasks.
Easier date selection
Selecting a date range now takes fewer clicks.
After you choose the first date, the second calendar opens on the month of that date. You can then select the end date without navigating back to the relevant month.
This makes choosing a period quicker, particularly when working with dates further ahead.
Fixes
Planned hours match the schedule
Planned hours on Statistics > Schedule and in the Excel download are no longer rounded to whole hours.
Previously, a task lasting 15 minutes could appear as zero hours, while a task lasting 45 minutes could appear as one hour. These rounded values could cause report totals to differ from the time shown in the schedule.
Hours are now shown in hours and minutes, such as 306h 30m.
Totals use the exact scheduled time for each employee, skill and day, as well as the whole team. The same totals now appear consistently across the page.
This makes it easier to check the report against the schedule without having to account for unexplained rounding differences.
Leave and sickness appear in the Forecast chart
The Leave hours and Sick hours lines in the Capacity per day chart on Statistics > Forecast now display planned absence correctly.
Previously, both lines could show zero even when leave or sickness had been added to the schedule.
The chart now shows the same leave and sickness hours as the Schedule tab.
This gives you a more accurate view of capacity and helps you assess the effect of planned absence when reviewing staffing for the period.
More accurate forecast and adherence reporting
Several calculations in Statistics have been corrected so the figures agree with the related charts and dashboards.
Forecast accuracy
Forecast accuracy now compares the forecast with actual call volumes day by day. Previously, the calculation compared an average day with a whole period, which could give misleading results.
A period without measured call volume no longer displays a green 100% accuracy result.
Required hours
The required hours line in the capacity chart now follows the forecast. It rises and falls with expected demand instead of remaining flat.
This makes it easier to see when more or fewer staffing hours are needed.
Forecast totals
Forecast totals now include only the staffing template and call queues that apply on each day.
This keeps the figures aligned with the configuration relevant to the dates being reported.
Adherence
Adherence in Statistics now uses the same calculation as the Adherence dashboard, so the two views provide consistent results.
Task filtering
The task filter in Statistics now includes all tasks. Leave and sickness are also shown separately, making them easier to identify when reviewing the figures.
Previously displayed percentages may change because the calculations have been corrected.
Full day skills are scheduled correctly
Automatic scheduling now handles full day skills correctly when a location also has a fixed shift at the start of the day.
Previously, a short fixed shift, such as a 30-minute morning task, could cause the generator to treat employees as unavailable for a skill requiring full-day coverage. This could leave that skill unstaffed.
Cirrus Calm now schedules the fixed shift first, then assigns the full day skill for the remaining time according to its priority and demand.
This allows the opening task and the full day skill to be included in the same day’s schedule.
Staffing template totals count task groups correctly
The Total row in the staffing template editor now handles task groups correctly.
Previously, when both a task group and the tasks within it had staffing targets, the total could count both sets of targets. This made the number of people required appear higher than it should have been.
A task group now counts once. The calculation uses either the group’s own target or the combined targets of its tasks when those are higher.
This brings the total into line with how the schedule is built. Staffing templates without task groups are unchanged.
Recurring day notes respect their start date
Recurring day notes now appear only from their Valid from date onwards.
Previously, a recurring note could appear in earlier weeks, making it look as though the message had applied before the note was created.
The Valid from field now defaults to the date you create the note. You can still choose a different start date if needed.
Leave Valid to empty if you want the note to continue indefinitely.
This helps keep recurring messages relevant to the dates they are intended to cover.
Correct week numbers in the date picker
The date picker now uses the same week numbers as the rest of Cirrus Calm.
Previously, it skipped week 53 at the end of December 2026. This caused the date picker’s week numbers to run one week ahead during 2027 and 2028, creating differences between the picker and the schedule headings.
The week beginning 28 December 2026 now correctly appears as week 53. The week beginning 4 January 2027 appears as week 1.
This keeps week selection consistent when planning across the end of the year.
Times follow the company time zone
Break times, working hours and shift times now appear in the company’s time zone.
Previously, these times could be displayed using the viewer’s browser time zone. People viewing the same information from different browser settings could therefore see different times.
The display now follows the company’s time zone regardless of the browser setting, keeping schedule times consistent for everyone.
Cirrus Calm also prevents a location from being saved with an end time earlier than its start time.
Table controls remain available
The column button now remains available even when every column in a table has been hidden.
Previously, hiding all columns could also make the button disappear, leaving you unable to use it to restore the columns.
You can now reopen the column options and choose which columns to display.
